First, the slightly boring part: I've been photographing pets in the Seattle area since 2007 when I got my start with the amazingly talented J. Nichole Smith of dane + dane studios. My work has appeared in various local and national publications, including CityDog Magazine, Seattle Met Bride & Groom and Bark Magazine. I earned a photography degree with an emphasis in Environmental Portraiture from the Art Institute of Seattle and was the first student to graduate with a portfolio exclusive to pet photography.
Now more about who I really am- I was born and raised in Seattle and I love the rain. In previous lives I've been a barista, medical receptionist, retail monkey, cake decorator, professional gift wrapper, veterinary assistant and fantasy football commissioner.
I am currently owned by three cats and a dog, however over the span of my life I've shared my life with hamsters, a fancy rat named Payton, three dogs, thirteen cats (give or take), two garter snakes, three newts (Olivia, Newton + John), countless fish, and a guinea pig named Morgan.
I've been known to have a sass mouth as well as a fabulously charming sense of humor. I love football (the Seahawks especially), my mini cooper, mismatched coffee cups, cold beer, fancy umbrellas, and shopping for things I don't need. I am decidedly impractical and, while I consider myself naturally caffeinated, I also love a good nap in the sun.
